IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT THE RECENT CIFA FOOD RECALL AND BIB'S MEATS
Chris here. First and foremost, you should know that there are no health issues related to any products that Bib's Meats has sold in the past or are currently selling. We take great pride and care in the products we sell, and your safety is always our number one concern.
A Belleville media outlet has broadcast and published a story about this recall and our store. Contrary to initial reports, the only items named in the recall notice affecting our store were Stew Beef (November 21 to November 26, 2018) and Beef Soup Bones (June 4 to June 9 this year).
Bib's Meats does not consider any food recall "voluntary" or "optional." We will always act with your safety as our primary concern. Had this recall involved products we were currently selling, we would have immediately removed them from our shelves and notified you to return any unused product to our store.
The original supplier involved in the recall, Ryding Regency, is a company that we ceased dealing with in June of this year, prior to any recall announcements. It is our understanding that this recall is a precautionary measure by the Canada Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) as a result of documentation errors and inconsistencies that are contrary to CFIA policies, and that there have been no reports of illness associated with any of the foods being recalled.
Should you have, in your freezer, any Stew Beef purchased at our store between November 21 and November 28 of 2018, or any Beef Stew Bones purchased between June 4 and June 11 of this year, please return it to our store and we will gladly replace it for you.
We thank you for trusting Bib's Meats to provide you with the best possible foods available, and look forward to seeing you in our store again soon.
Just wanted to let everyone know what we have coming on sale this week. Medium frozen burger is on sale for $2.79 per lb in 10lb bags. We also have our New York Strips on sale for $4.50 each. Thanks Chris
